| Our aim is to keep you up to date on what is in the works for KublaCon 2005 and (in this issue) recap the highlights of what happened at this years convention. Our hope is that you'll find this informative, helpful and to, ultimately, help build the community of gamers and friends that are the experience of KublaCon. You missed the Convention Inconceivable! KublaCon was spectacular this year (as always), and we all had a great time putting on the show. There were over 2300 attendees (which is over 400 more people than we had last year!), and over 600 organized games for those people to play in. We heartily thank all of the attendees, GMs, dealers, and special guests for coming; and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. If you missed out on attending KublaCon 2004, or are just interested in some of the highlights of the convention, take a look at our Department Reports in this issue. There you can read the summaries from some of our department heads on what they thought were the Best of Show blue ribbon moments: Feed Me Seymour! How do we make a great Convention even better? By listening to our most precious resources: You! We now have a feedback form for telling us what you think totally rocked and what you think was lame at KublaCon 2004. So visit our feedback form to participate! Well look over what went right at KublaCon and bring more of it; and we will also try to resolve any complaints to the best of our abilities. (And yes, we know the food was bad AND overpriced, but feel free to tell us anyway!) KublaCon 2005 is May 27-30 at the Burlingame Hyatt Regency! Its not too early to start planning your pilgrimage to KublaCon 2005. With more gaming goodness then you can shake a stick at and Prizes and Surprises every where you turn with friendly & family oriented fun awaiting you. Come one come all to the greatest show on earth! (darn, that tag line has already been taken. back to the drawing board I guess...) So let me introduce to you, the one and only Billy Shears Starting with this primiere issue, we'll begin introducing our staff members to you in our section called Ten Questions With... Some of you may already know these people and we here at the newsletter give our sincerest condolences to you folks for having to put up with them for all these years. For those of you who dont know him, you will meet our first victim um err interview volunteer, one of the Founding Fathers of KublaCon, Japji Khalsa. Con-Quest this weekend - Labor Day The ConQuest game convention's annual Labor Day event runs this weekend Sept. 3-6 at the San Francisco Airport Marriott. They've just moved there this year, having been at Ricky's Hyatt in Palo Alto for the last several years. BTW... the Marriott is about a quarter mile north of KublaCon's home - the Hyatt. Many of the KublaCon staff will be at ConQuest having fun... or perhaps even volunteering... we hope to see you there -- and play some games with you!
