1. Tell us a little about yourself... I'm a Second Life Avatar, having been born the day after Christmas in 2006. I have this sense... of a higher power that .. controls me somewhere. I don't require food... or air even... though I seem to breathe in this world. I make my home in Granymyr sim, where I keep my helicopter at the ready for jaunts around the land. 2. What do you do at KublaCon? I'm the architect, builder and designer for KublaConia, KublaCon's Second Life home. I help solicit and pool individual ideas into the 'larger picture'. I'm ultimately responsible for developing the SL reality of the team vision for KublaConia.
3. How did you get involved with KublaCon and how long have you been here? My early interests as a new Avatar, were building and texturing with the built in tools provided with every free Second Life account. I seem to have been born with a passion for graphic design and imaging, and the ability to create cool 3D images, buildings, etc. in Second Life really appeals to that passion. I messed around in the 'sandboxes' of Second Life, and it was there that I was asked - and recruited - to help with KublaConia. 4. What motivates you and what rewards do you get out of being involved with KublaCon? Well, I do actually like games and gaming. So the idea of helping to create a virtual expression, or gathering place, for gamers and game playing gets me pretty excited. My highest hope.. and greatest reward will be when I can walk into a gaming hall in KublaConia and see a group of gamers all gathered together talking or playing games. I also love to help people who are new to both SL and to Gaming, it's always fun when you feel like you've introduced, helped someone have fun. 5. What is your earliest gaming or game convention memory? I don't have a lot of memories, as I'm really only 4 months old. But in a sense, I've been gaming since the day I was born, given that Second Life is 'technically' a game. So my earliest memories would probably be of learning to walk, fly, touch ... and ultimately begin to explore the multi-verse that is Second Life. 6. What is your favorite gaming or game convention memory? Well, my favorite gaming memory is my first game of Settlers of Second Life. It was just so neat to sit around a table with other virtual friends and play this really cool game. 7. What is your least favorite gaming or game convention memory? Well, that would be losing my very first game of Settlers of Second Life.
8. Give us a top 3 list of your favorite games and tell us your least favorite game. Second Life Settlers of Second Life Truth or Dare Second Life My least favorite are the gambling games, there are a bunch of them in SL. 9. Where do you currently play games and what do you play when you are there? Mostly, I play in the Castle at the Northern end of KublaConia. We have the Settler's Game set up right in the middle of the Grand ballroom, below the Chandelier. It's really quite elegant, and spaciious though since we're still 'moving in' it seems a little barren. 10. If you could tell all of the KublaCon attendees something, what would it be? I want to emphasize that KublaCon and KublaConia are all about the fun. I hope everyone has fun at the Real Life (RL) KublaCon, and that folks will come visit our virtual project 'in progress'. You can make a free Second Life account at www.secondlife.com and once you done so, use the "Map" feature to do a search for either Granymyr or Smaug.
