Welcome to our second issue of the Khannections Newsletter!
Our aim is to keep you up to date on what is in the works for KublaCon 2005 - the exciting events, special guests, and other fun. Our hope is that you'll find this informative, helpful and to, ultimately, help build the community of gamers and friends that are the experience of KublaCon.

Roses are red or blue... violets are flowers, too:

OK. We aren’t going to win any poetry awards anytime soon but, we have communed with our inner Muses and we humbly submit a little holiday poem for your perusal. So please lend us your eyes and enjoy our offering (and please don’t report us to the Bad Poetry Society!).

Department Reports

Kubla's little elves... (hmmm... not so sure he has elves)... are already hard at work for the big night of December... uhh... May 27th. They're making all manner of treats, cakes and cookies getting ready for KublaCon 2005. Unfortunately, they'll all be eaten by then. So even though it is still really early in the KublaCon season, we do have some department updates for you:

I’d buy THAT for a dollar!

Hey, it’s the holiday season and what better way to kick it off then to inform you of a few special offers from some friends of KublaCon. There are always new games to go out and buy and hopefully these offers will help save you a buck or two with your shopping lists (especially if we are the ones that are on your list!).

So let me introduce to you, the one and only Billy Shears…

You can get to know some of our staff members here by reading our Ten Questions With... article. Some of you may already know these people and we here at the newsletter give our sincerest condolences to you folks for having to put up with them for all these years. But for those of you who don’t know him, here is our soft spoken patriarch (otherwise known as Japji’s better half), Anthony Gallela.

Other news tidbits from the desk of the Khannections newsletter.

1. Conquest has been sold to a group called “Name of the Game, LLC” and is now Avalon.
2. KublaCon gets involved with National Games week.
3. KublaCon supports the city of San Carlos and their 6th annual Week of the Family.
4. Game night starting in San Francisco

Don't forget it's not too early to start planning for 2005

Whether you're a GM or an attendee, there are things you can do now to get ready for the convention (like register!)

Well Folks, thanks for checking out our second issue of the Khannections Newsletter. Our next issue will come out early next year after the busy holiday season is over and we've learned how to play all the new games Kubla has given us for being good (ok as “good” as we can be) for the whole year. So until then, take care and happy gaming!
Thanks! :o)

KublaCon does NOT sell, rent or share its mailing list with anyone else! Please feel free to send this email and help us spread the word on how fun KublaCon is. Grandma Bost says: "You can grow up, but whatever you do, don't ever grow old." and we can do that by playing more games! OK Japji... Time to roll the credits on this one; tell me again what I did on camera at KublaStaffCon after drinking all that werewolf juice from the magic bowling ball of displacement... Go Kubla! :o)
