| Getting ready for 2005, May 27-30, it's not too early! | |||||
| Start planning your pilgrimage to KublaCon 2005. Listed below are some links to help you get started. GameMasters You can start submitting events NOW! What? Are you nuts? you might be thinking, Its nearly nine months away! (OK we are nuts, but thats a given). But as KublaCon grows, the earlier you submit your events, the more likely theyll get accepted (especially in the RPG area). Also it helps potential/new attendees get excited about KublaCon when they visit our website and see an awesome selection of Event Proposals months before the con. And if youre not ready to submit a new event for 2005, you can take advantage our new Update feature just for GMs! If youre the kind of GM who runs a similar, popular, event every year (such as Aerodrome or Monster Smash) you can now just update the event to an Event Proposal instead of having to enter all the information again. Its easy to do: Just log in to your GM account. Any events you ran last year will now be marked as Prior Yr Event. Simply click the green Update button and youll be taken to a series of forms that will be filled with the events info. Change/update any description, requested time, etc., and with a few clicks of the mouse youll have turned your event into an Event Proposal for 2005! Attendees You can pre-register NOW! And you, too, might be thinking, What? Are you crazy? Its nearly nine months away! (Well OK we are crazy too.) But registering early is more important than ever. You can save $15 off the full four day pass if you register by February 28th. And as usual, parents will receive $10 off their weekend pass when they register with a fully paid child. And for those who have been coming for many years, you'll notice that we've raised our prices by $10 per badge. While the difficult economies of producing the best convention on the West Coast have pushed us to raise prices, we still believe that KublaCon provides an awesome "bang for the buck." We hope you'll understand, and continue to show your support by registering early! Hotel Accommodations Likewise, you can start reserving your rooms at the Hyatt now by calling 1-800-233-1234 and asking for the KublaCon Special rate of $99 per night. The hotel did sell out of rooms for Saturday night this year, and we expect a similar (if not a greater) demand for rooms in 2005. Volunteers Were always looking for help! But right now, wed love to have someone who is experienced installing and maintaining a public/private Web Bulletin Board. Were currently using Ezboards for our online web community, but would prefer to move to something more robust, and less intimidating for people to register. If youd like to help us in this way please contact our webmaster, Japji. |
