Getting ready for 2010, May 28-31, it's not too early!

Start planning your pilgrimage to KublaCon 2010. Listed below are some tips, hints and assorted links to help you get started.

Game Masters

As KublaCon grows, the earlier you submit your events, the more likely they’ll get accepted (especially in the RPG and Tabletop Board Game areas). For example, in the RPG area we had to turn away almost 20 games that were submitted in the late days of the submittal period. And if you’re not ready to submit a new event for 2010, you can take advantage of our “Update” feature just for GM’s!

If you’re the kind of GM who runs a similar, popular, event every year (such as Aerodrome or Monster Smash) you can now just update the event to an “Event Proposal” instead of having to enter all the information again. It’s easy to do: Just log in to your GM account. Any events you ran last year will now be marked as “Prior Yr Event.” Simply click the “Update” link and you’ll be taken to a series of forms that will be filled with the event’s info. Change/update any description, requested time, etc., and with a few clicks of the mouse you’ll have turned your event into an “Event Proposal” for 2010!Event Registration will close on April 1st this season (no fooling!) so get those games in early and often!

Attendees

You can pre-register NOW! Registering early is more important than ever as you can save $15 off the full four day pass if you register by February 28th. So that is only $35 for all four days of gaming goodness! And as usual, parents will receive an additional $10 off their weekend pass when they register with a fully paid child. And our introductory offer of a Lifetime Pass for $399 is good until May 15th.

And remember, even if you do wait to purchase tickets at the door (for $50) you will still get free access (without having to purchase “event” tickets) to well over 600 games and special events! So save money and time by registering now!
And new to KublaCon this year is our "Favorites" list that you can create while searching for the events you love and want to attend at KublaCon. If you don't already have a GM account, you can create an account right here. Oh... and you don't have to be a GM to take advantage of the new features.

Hotel Accommodations

Rooms at the Hyatt went fast last year and we sold out of rooms for our special KublaCon rate on Saturday night. You can start reserving your rooms online here, or by calling 1-800-233-1234 and asking for the KublaCon Special rate of $106 per night. So book now and beat the rush!

Volunteers

We are always looking for help! It takes a very large number of people to make KublaCon go off clean and smooth. If you help out for at least 8 hours, you will get your weekend pass purchase reimbursed to you. So visit the volunteering site... and if you have any questions or comments, email Mike Eckert
