1. Tell us a little about yourself…
I am a native Californian (dude!) and I was born in San Leandro in 1966. I attended San Leandro High School and graduated in 1984. My passions back then were games, music and theater and I was in many theatrical productions during my four years there. My favorite rolls were Ebenezer Scrooge in “The Christmas Carol” and King Sextimus the Silent in “Once upon a Mattress” (and yes, I get many raised eyebrows from people when I tell them that latter one!).
When the need to move out of my house became apparent, I got all the way of 10 minutes from where I was born and now live in San Lorenzo.

I married a wonderful woman by the name of Janice in 1991 and she came complete with 2 kids, so poof! Instant Family! Being that she was a tad bit older then me, I am now a proud Grandpa to two wonderful girls at the ripe old age of 39 (and yes, they will be old enough to come to KublaCon really soon!).
I work for HP as a technical support agent to other HP field techs and have been there for 18 years. If you have read our newsletters, you will have already guessed I am a big fan of the Beatles and Elvis Presley. My other hobbies are going to the beach to fly my stunt kites and I am also a big movie buff.
2. What do you do at KublaCon?
I am the RPG Coordinator, Khannections Newsletter Co-Editor and All Around Wisecracker.
3. How did you get involved with KublaCon and how long have you been here?
I had to bribe the Devil with my soul and promise him my Magic collection to get into the lofty position I have now. Well, that sounds a whole lot cooler then how it really happened.
I have been attending the ManaFest half of KublaCon since it began back in 1994. In fact, I have a winners pin for every year that they have been offered (the first one being my favorite for winning the Type 1 Magic tourney in 1995). Starting around 2000, I slowly worked my way up into the ranks by volunteering, running events, helping design the Mega Dungeon Crawl and finally in 2003, was offered the job of RPG Coordinator when Scott Bagley decided to step down from that job. Of course, the job by then was big enough to fill two sets of shoes, so Jeffery Yin (my partner in crime for several of the Mega Dungeon Crawls) became my Co-Coordinator that year as well.
4. What motivates you and what rewards to you get out of being involved with KublaCon?
I receive a lot of pride and joy in saying that I help put on a show that gives several thousand people a fantastic and great time at our Convention. Of course, getting my winners pin is still one of my top priorities each and every year.

5. What is your earliest gaming or game convention memory?
Playing Monopoly with my Dad. My Dad and I don’t have the greatest relationship, but one of the things I remember is playing Monopoly with him. He was very good at it and of course, me being a kid, very poor. So I would ask to play it all the time because I wanted to win for a change. Then finally, I did which gave me such elation and joy for winning one over the Old Man that I still fondly remember it to this day.
6. What is your favorite gaming or game convention memory?
Back in high school, being an uber game geek, I was a member of the chess club. But then during the late 70’s we found this game called Dungeon and Dragons. Suddenly our chess club forgot all about playing chess as this new game dominated all of our playing time. Then that fateful movie was made in 1982, Tom Hanks in Mazes and Monsters. Suddenly, we were those SATANIC uber game geeks. Actually watching the other kids stare at us for playing that evil DnD game was kinda trippy back then and gave us a lot to laugh about during our gaming sessions.
7. What is your least favorite gaming or game convention memory?
I can’t say I have ever had a bad gaming memory. I did get a speeding ticket going to a game convention once. Speeding ticket, bad
