New database, search engine and event submission system goes live!
We've been touting the eventual move to a new online system for months... and it's now here!

While you may not really care about the 'engine' that drives our event registration,
we care about your experience when visiting the KublaCon site.

Whether you're a GM or an attendee looking to have a great weekend, we've made improvements with YOU in mind.

Here's just the short list of improvements.

- Faster server and more reliable
- Improved security (using Corral methodology)
- Cleaner interface
- Ability to sort 'in-line' after a search
- A search form that always stays at the top of the page
- The search form remembers your search, so you can refine it if you like
- The results page allows you to sort your results 'inline'
- A new "Favorites" feature allows you to track a list of favorite
events that can be found with one click! This is a great tool for tracking your favorite events and planning your weekend of fun.
- A new "Preview" page to review - and edit - GM submissions before
committing it to the database.
- A new feature on the "Event Detail" page that allows you to click to
the next and previous events without going back to the search results page.
- GM's can now edit their own events -- except for certain fields.
- GMs can now also "Duplicate" an event if they want to run it multiple
times.

We could go on and on about how cool it is... but the best thing to do is start using it right away!

  • If you just want to quickly search for some events - go here.
  • If you are already a registered GM and want to log in to your account - go here.
  • If you want to create a NEW account so you can take advantage of the new Favorites feature, or you want to run/GM a game - go here.

For tech geeks out there, here's a quick overview of what powers the site:

    running OSXserver and Lasso
  • Macintosh Tower DP1.4 /2gb Ram/Gigabit Ethernet/
running Filemaker Server Advanced / Databases
